Can anyone give me a list of some good, cheap mic preamps or a site that lists them.

I own a ART Tube Mic Preamp right now and I'm getting sick of it and need to move on up.

I would think a step up from the Tube MP might cost quite a bit more money....but quality gear isn't cheap.

I would look at the Presonus MP-20, dbx 586, and Peavey VMP-2. The Presonus is about $500 US and the dbx and Peavey are about $750 US. All of them have dual preamps.

If you listen very carefully, you can almost hear the gear snobs groan.

Howza bout waiting a month for the RNMP to come out and then stroking thyself nightly thinking about how well spent your money was for a change.
I'd take the MP20 after that, IF you can still find one with the Jensen circuitry.
You can get a racked up neve module for $1089.
