Djxii

How do you use MIDI channels in conjunction with a external source?
There are 16 channels on each piece of equipment, but I am only able to record one instrument or channel into a user pattern.
I am using the DJXII as the master, and it is controlling the drum machine.
The drum machine is an Zoom RT123.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is done differently depending on what equipment and software you are using.

Or, the shorter and ruder form of the same answer: RTFM!

TFM sucks!!!!

Unfortunately,

I have done so, and Yamaha did a terrible job at being explicit in their directions.
I own the QS6.1 and Groovebox, and this post is actually for my friend.
The Groovebox and Alesis manual are a lot easier to make sense of.
My friend is just trying to use it in conjunction with his drum machine, simular to the way I sequence with groovebox and qs6.1, using more than one sound/channel at one time-If I want.
I have never seen anything like the Yamaha manual-totally sucks!!!!

questionmark is on a distinguished road
DJX

I am kind of confused about the whole midi thing as well. I have the DJX keyboard and the Zoom RT123 as well. I am using Sonar and Home Studio 9.
