Djxii
How do you use MIDI channels in conjunction with a external source?
There are 16 channels on each piece of equipment, but I am only able to record one instrument or channel into a user pattern. I am using the DJXII as the master, and it is controlling the drum machine. The drum machine is an Zoom RT123. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I-AM |

This is done differently depending on what equipment and software you are using.
Or, the shorter and ruder form of the same answer: RTFM! ![]()

TFM sucks!!!!
Unfortunately,
I have done so, and Yamaha did a terrible job at being explicit in their directions. I own the QS6.1 and Groovebox, and this post is actually for my friend. The Groovebox and Alesis manual are a lot easier to make sense of. My friend is just trying to use it in conjunction with his drum machine, simular to the way I sequence with groovebox and qs6.1, using more than one sound/channel at one time-If I want. I have never seen anything like the Yamaha manual-totally sucks!!!! I-AM |

DJX
I am kind of confused about the whole midi thing as well. I have the DJX keyboard and the Zoom RT123 as well. I am using Sonar and Home Studio 9.
