4-Track connection to PC

Hello,

Can a connection be made from my 4-track recorder to my PC's sound card in order to 'burn' these songs onto a CD ?

Can this be done ?

Yes, if you just want the stereo mix into your computer, and not individual control over all four tracks.

Take a cable from the main left right outputs on your 4 track into the line-in on your soundcard. The plug on your soundcard will be 1/8" stereo female. On your 4 track probably RCA. So you need 1/8" stereo male that splits to two Mono RCA males. - Radioshack Item. Using software like www.goldwave.com to record/edit it, and your cd-burning software to burn it.

I don't know if your 4 track has out for each track but what you can do is take the four tracks and get yourself another sound card and import all the tracks individually into your computer and then you can remix them or add effects...eq, etc.
