ART Preamp question

Hello,

I have a small ART Tube MP, its been a while sinced I used it, I have been having equipment problems. Well its seems to never end...

I put my guitar into it and I remember the green light turning red when it clipped, well no matter how high I crank both the guitar level and MP level its always green. I dont get any distortion out of it. I also checked both gain settings and the same thing happens.. no red light. What am I missing?

With a MP, that is how it works. I don't know why it's like, but it is. Let me guess you turned your amp up full blast and adjusted the knobes, but no yellow light. Like I said before, it's just how the MP is made. I think the Dual MP doesn't have that problem, don't know for shure though.

Yup, I tried that also

I disagree with Frank that its not how the MP works, cause I used to get the different color lights, and red =clipping.

I can seem to get the dirtiness out of it now, its only acting like a gain booster. Very wierd.
