Anyone found any cool drum samples?
Hi all, I was going to put this in the drum section but I didn't want to piss off all the drummers. I'm using Acid pro 2.0 for my drum loops. I'm trying to do songs with straight rock and alternative country. I don't need any funky drums just straight rock.......type. Know of any good samples out there that I can use? Thanks in advance, Jerry

2 dudes
Jerry - Check out this site:
http://www.2dcd.com They sell a $99 CD of samples, but give you a bunch free for download on the site. I put together a short song using their samples which you can find on my mp3.com page (it's called "Loopes des Fruites" -- guess which drum program I used...) http://www.mp3.com/PeteAnon I think the samples sounds great. The cymbals sound very natural with a nice long decay. Also, search for "Fruity" on the bbs and you'll find a thread that I started on Fruity Loops... in that thread, people recommended samples on the internet, including 2dudes. Pete |

Sorry to say you'll still have to sift through techno and dance stuff, but you may find what you're looking for without shelling out the extra $.

2 dudes
I haven't bought the 2 dudes CD, but I believe that I will. I've used their free download samples on a couple songs, and I love them. The drums sound real... much better than other things I've found out there.
And you can rationalize the cost away-- $99 2 dudes + $50 fruity loops = $150. That's competitive with a drum machine, right? And much more flexible. Pete |
