Aphex 104 Aural Exciter/Big Bottom

GC's selling these again for $99.99 this month and I'm curious as to the prevailing opinion here about the unit's usefulness in the home recording studio. I once saw a thread on r.a.p to the effect that these devices really _did_ do something.

Thanks for any thoughtful input.

Cool

Get one now dude. This actually is the link that has done more than any other prossesor I have. It adds harmonics to the highs where there isnt any and fills out the bottom nicely. Makes my recordings sound like they were mastered by the big boys.

It also restores the highs and lows to analog tape tracks for burning to cd.

When you hook it up use a patch bay so you can run the bass guitar and accoustic though it for tracking. then use it for doing your master. You will have a big sound without it getting muddy.

Mine was 299.00 at musicians friend. so 99.00 is a great bargain.
