First time ever recording a band...

This is the first time i've ever recorded a band. I used mostly sm58's and 57's except for a ksm32 on the kick. Recorded using a Yamaha MG166cx mixer and a MOTU Ultralite.

Hey man. Doesn't sound too band.

The snare sounds a bit boxy and too in your face. probably bring that back a bit. I know you're trying to obtain that "Reggae-ish" sound to it. But probably bring out the highs and bit and back off with the drums a bit. And maybe a tad bit with the kick drum as well.

Bring the guitars panned to the right a bit more, it's a bit muddled out by the rhythm guitar.

I think the ambience and feel is all there, just a bit of leveling and balance issues.

Bring snare down, kick up and guitar up. Tell the guitar player his guitar has entonation issues and he shoud get it set up again.
