Thumbs up Incridible prices on dbx silvers at Mars!

586 dual pre/ 576 channel $498!!

386 dual pre/ 376 channel $399!!

almost walked out with a 376, but I should, like, pay the rent or something.

Seems Mars will not be carrying them anymore and is blowing them out. I'm not sure if you can get the deal online, you may have to go to one and check.

I'm already up to my ears in preamps, (well, relative to the number of mics I have ) but man I'm tempted...

Wow... the 586, never heard a bad thing about it... thats half list price. Damn damn damn damn damn damn damn... I'm broke. Sell a couple cheaper preamps and buy one of them. If you sell 2 cheaper ones, you still get 2 better quality preamps with the 586. Plus, it looks nice

Do you have any links on this deal? I see nothing on their site that's useful.

Thanks.

I'm still waiting for some clarification on this deal, but in the meantime, someone explain what you do with a rig like the 586:

I was shopping for some preamps and a Delta 1010 converter, but if I get a preamp that already does the A/D conversion, what to I eliminate from the process? Is there a simple, non-converting soundcard that accepts the digitized output from the mixer, thus replacing the 1010 from the equation, or what?

Thanks for any education here!

Exclamation oops!

it's the 566 (dual channel compressor) and the 576 (single channel compressor/ mic pre) not the 586 (which is a dual channel pre).

The deals on the 5x6's I saw in the Mars June flyer in the middle section.

The 386 and 376, I stumbled upon at the Richmond VA Mars. (F^&$in' $399) They may be the only one's with that deal. I found the phone number there. (804) 967-0707 (that's the Richmond VA Mars) The pre's were sitting back in the used room (but they aren't used) Also there's an ART Pro VLA for $399 (another sweet deal) I'm tempted to run over right now and put'em all three on layaway! ha ha!

bongolation, the 5x6 series (i think) has the digital out as an option. they dont come on stock models. The 3x6 has the dig out standard. The 1010 has SPDIF input. The 386 would give you in effect two more simultaneous channels. (of this is one way to look at it)

Arrrrgh!

I'm still paying off other toys. You're a tease!

What are the reviews like about these products, especially the 376 and the 576 and how do they compare to similarly priced pre's?

Well, now that we've established that the 586 isn't available...

GC has the 386 or 376 for $499 this month, including an AKG CB2000 condenser mic.

This is probably a pretty good deal, if you can use the microphone.

GC's been unloading these dbx units in similar promotions since March, that I know of.
