M/S mic technique - matrix in reaper?

Is there a way to use the middle/side mic technique in Reaper, or do I need an external matrix device? I need to know this before purchasing a figure 8.

Thanks

Basically, all you need to do is duplicate the figure-8 track and reverse the phase of the new track.

What he said. Any DAW will do it. It's not a plug-in or filter--it's a technique.

As an aside, this:

...is the most, um, "suggestive" chart I've ever seen in a recording discussion.

type "kanaka" in the plugin finder. I made an M/S Encoder and decoder for it way back when. Still use it constantly for acoustic guitar and M/S overheads
