Alesis Multimix 8 USB problems

I was just given a Multimix 8 but I can't get windows vista to recognize it. Every time I click on the alesis control panel I get a pop up that says: Can't open the driver for your mixer. Make sure the mixer is on and connected to your PC. Any help would be much appreciated.

Apparently it is because there are no drivers for the 64 bit version of vista.

After many hours of fiddling with it I recorded ten seconds of me saying hello. But I'm not sure exactly what I did.
Now when I try to record something, I get a 'no asio driver' message.
Thanks again for all the helpful and friendly advice.

Does anyone here want to purchase a partially smashed Alesis Multimix8 USB mixer interface? I'll throw in the rather worthless CD-Rom, a couple of guitar picks, and a capo for free.
