Loosing sample beginnings
When I save a sample (in the single track view), Cool Edit Pro 2 cuts off about 26ms off it from the beginning each time. This space is just silent.. I have tried to adjust various settings but it did not help. Anybody know what this is about?

I guess you are saving the samples as mp3 !?!?? If you do, 30ms are actually added to the beginning of the sample :-) That´s due to the mp3-format specifications .... so mp3s are not suitable for (seamless) audio loops or samples ! Cut the silence and save as wav ...... problem solved. Dirk
