midi drum editor?

Hi all,

Does reaper have a piano scroll midi drum editor? For those of you who are familiar with cubase, I'm wondering if reaper provides similar functionality in terms of midi drum editing.

I'm using Addictive Drums, ezDrummer and Groove Agent. thanks

Yep!

Just double-click the midi item to open the piano roll view. If you click "View," you can select triangles or diamonds to represent hits if you don't want the standard midi note rectangles.

You can also load drum maps into REAPER so the keys display the names of the instruments in the kit. "File -> Load note names from file."

A way to make it even easier for drum editing is to load a drum map (it's just a text file. You can make one yourself if you can't find one for your drum software) then go to "View -> Hide all unused and unnamed note rows." This will show only the note rows that are named according to the drum map or the note rows that have midi data on them. Pretty nifty Then just click away!
