Myspace A&R reps?

I have now been contacted by three different A&R companies on Myspace all asking me to consider using them to market my music. I am wondering if this is total BS or if anyone has had any success with these sharks?

maybe your music is just so awesome that they're all dying to get at it first. for a nominal fee, of course.

whatever the lowest fee is, I'll do it for half.

You'll need to be a lot more specific, I'm afraid. Name some names and post some of their pitches here and we'll sort it out.

What does your gut say?
