Someone please help me out....urgent

Hey you'll thanks for checking this thread out. I have a really important question that I need answered as soon as possible. I do Rap/R&b music and the program Im using is [u][b]ADOBE AUDITION 3.0.

Now my question is am I doing what Im doing right??

1st off what I do is lay down my verse, most of the time I lay down from 6 to 8 bars at a time so Ill have time to breath and I wont be gasping for air...lol

Next I double stack(record and go over my verse as I did the 1st time)

Then as for my effects I (AMPLIFY-CENTER WAVE 2X's)
the I add (DYNAMIC PROCESSING-CLASSIC SOFTKNEE)
Then I add (REVERB-STUDIO REVERB-MASTERING REVERB)
Then I add (GRAPHIC EQUALIZER-LEAD VOCAL PRESENCE AND CLARITY)
LAST I NORMALIZE TO ABOUT 65% OR WHATEVER SOUNDS GOOD...

Then I do the same to the double stack...

Then I PAN the 1st stack to -70 and I PAN the 2nd stack +70 AM I DOING THIS RIGHT?????????????????????????????

DO I DO THE SAME EFFECTS AND PAN,TO MY ADD LIBS???????????????

ARE THERE ANYMORE EFFECTS I SHOULD ADD TO MAKE MY MUSIC SOUND BETTER AS IN MULTIBAND COMPPRESORS,PARAMETRICS EQ's???

IS THIS CONSIDERED MIXING AND MASTERING???

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT IT WOULD REALLY BE APPRECIATED?????

Okay. No double posting or multi-posting please. Pick one forum and ask your question there. The Newbies section was probably a better choice, but you closed that one so I will delete it.

If people aren't answering your question that's because they don't have an answer or haven't seen it yet. Don't expect a response right away.

thanks for your help.

You have to do whatever sounds good bro. If it sounds the way you want it to then thats the way you need to do it... I would have a Center Track also as the "Main Vocals" and pan 2 other "Stacked" tracks -75 and 75. Then lower the Db 6-12 in the panned tracks. This will add a feel to it you should like. Then Add the adlibs(saying things after each bar to fill in dead air)... and the voice overs (emphasize end of each bar)

It's hard to explain without being able to hear what your trying to accomplish or what it currently sounds like. If you dont think it sounds right then It probably doesnt sound right. It also depends on your gear. If your using a cheap mic and a cheap pre amp its not going to sound like a TI or 50 Cent track.

EQ, compress, Add effects, and test.
