Nak mr-1 #1 locks up, cant get tape out! ?

my mr-1 #1 that i thought was my prime player has as of this am developed a problem.

i started to record on a tape this am, let it go for about 10 mins to test that it would record ok, then went to 'pause' the tape. then 'stop'.
then i hit 'reverse' and it locked up.

now the little green lights in the 'pause' and 'play' buttons flash together over and over alternating with the 'stop' button light flashing. none of the buttons will do anything.

and the door won't open and i can't get the tape out!

now, i gotta take it out of the rack and mess with it. hope it's not the cam motor.

just 'effed around with the deck, gave the cam motor a smart 'whack!', that unlocked the mechanism, i guess; tape came out, eaten all to sh!t.
so i squirted deoxit into the transport switches from the front (?!), the slot in the cam motor, the coppery switch mechs over the cam motor, and all seems good.

it played ok, ff, fw, all the buttons work again.

we'll see how long it lasts!

i stuck a bx-300 in the mr-1s rack space. leave the mr-1 out for a while.
