Question Hittin Hard Music..?

Hey guys, I'm usin cakewalk pro 9, and a lexicon card and processor built in. my songs have great sound to them, they're real clear and have a little punch. i try and add more depth to the overall mix and all it does it muffel the tone. how can i get GREAT bass frequencies out of my music, and make it hit harder?

Cool

you can use EQ in that low bass area (40-100hz) but you have to start out with good sounds to boost....what sources are you recording in that range?.....

This isn't going to save a bad mix or a bad recording but you might try one of those low-end enhancement plugins like Maxx Bass by Waves. Just an idea

For quick and dirty overproduction loudness and punch, add compression with medium attack to the final mix.

However, this is only good for quick and _dirty_. Take the mix to a mastering house for a good result.
