Need help connecting Alesis to BR1200
My Boss BR1200CD only has RCA outputs, digital optical and midi BUT the Alesis M1 Active MKII only has XLR inputs. I have XLR cables with either XLR female ends or also 1/4" male jacks. How can I connect the two? Can I use a 1/4" male stereo cable to 2 1/4" female mono Y adapter in the headphone out? Or use the same cable plugged instead into a RCA out to 1/4" female? I'm lost. Why didn't they make the Alesis have RCA inputs?

I remember I had to use adapters to connect my BR1600 to my studio monitors.
Are you sure the Alesis' has XLR and not combination jacks? A simple RCA->1/4" adapter would do the trick.
