You mean the delay? It sounds like a simple delay. i didn't hear a single backing vocal at all.

That's a delay effect that probably uses a tap button. A delay is an effect that simply captures what is spoken and then repeats it back a few milliseconds later. The number of milliseconds can be adjusted to up to maybe a full second or more. That is called "delay time."

The tap button makes it easy to set the delay time of the echo so it appears equal to the tempo of the song. You simply tap the button a few times (at any even tempo) and the delay time is automatically adjusted to that timing.

Cool, eh?

That is way too technical of a description for me; I have no idea what that means.

To do what these other folks are describing without having a tap switch feature to do it manually, set the delay to match the tempo of the song. Start with the formula 60,000/BPM = the number of milliseconds delay for a ¼ note. If you need a delay for an 1/8th note, divide that number by 2. For a 1/2 note, multiply that number by 2, etc.

You need to play with the settings. You are probably getting a multiple repeats and they start right away?

Its not a crazy delay, so I would start with minimal settings and work up as needed.
