The drums might be a little flat. Things seem to be compressed and the guitars are just a bit too loud. What are you using to record on?

tascam 488mk2

Probably the key component to the recording though was the focusrite isa one pre amp. Vocals, Guitar and bass were all through that preamp. it's a very clean sounding song and that preamp is very transparent. It worked well i thought.

Guitars, vox, bass, well played and with good quality recording.
I agree about the drums needing some compression (and/or volume envelope).
And sidestick is too low in the mix.
Only nit about the performance: strong tempo issues between 27 and 29s, take a look if is possible to fix it (editing).

i know what timing issue you're talking about. i gave my drummer the benefit of the doubt because it's a fill right before the verse starts and somehow he starts playing into the verse pretty well. so i just take it as an awkward but kind of interesting fill. i know what you mean though, is it kind of awkward moment in the song and sounds off time, but the more i listen to it the more i take it as intentional.

the drums are a bit low in the mix. i'll turn it up .
