Constructive Feedback

Hi

I've not posted on here in a while and was hoping some of you could have a listen to my new tracks at http://www.myspace.com/jamiemacleodmusic and give me some thoughts/opinions etc. If you like it, or don’t like it, please tell me why. I'm starting to look around for some kind of publishing deal or similar (if it still exists?).

Everything was done by me, all of these songs were recorded in Cubase and all the guitar parts were mostly recorded in Revalver 2 and 3 and Guitar Rig 3. The older songs, Singularity and Hold Fast, were recorded with a Triaxis, a 395 and a Marshall 2x12, miked with a Rode NT2.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Thanks for your time

Jamie.

Very good playing, nice guitar solo.
The one thing I can't get friendly with is the snare. It sounds very wet. Maybe compressing it would help to give it some more snap. But maybe that's what you were going for....
Pretty good!

Joey

I listened to the first song and loved it. I also think the snare sounds funny. Was that intended to sound like that?

Hey there

Thanks for listening

The snare was a stock DW in BFD2...in what way did it sound funny? Maybe it was the way I eq'ed it?

Try listening again in http://www.ubetoo.com/jamiemacleod and see if it's better quality, coz I think that Myspace might have squeezed the bitrate somewhat.

Not as crisp. It doesn't have that crack like a snare should have. It might be the eq.
