what do i need to record??

i have guitars and a bass.
i have a pc with windows xp.
im getting a line 6 pod x3.
i might get a tascam us-144.
i have cubase nuendo and ezdrummer.
do i need anything else?

Hi I,m a newbie. Bought a tascam porta 02 mk years ago. Going to try to use it tomorrow. I know it's an older model but I can still do what I need to do with it . I have a cd recorder to change over from the cassette tape. Just starting out so I will see how it works with the dinosaur.

something i plug in to my usb then have something wireless right?
why do i need one of them then?
