Exclamation Sennheiser Freeport and other questions

Hello everyone, I am planning to buy a sennheiser freeport microphone (handheld) these days, but I have some questions
1)Does anyone know what is the real range of this wireless set?
2) Is it true diversity, or it just has 2 antennas?
3)If you remove the antenna does it continue having a good range, or just a couple of feet/meters?

Also, recently, I saw some copies of sennheiser EW 135 G2 on ebay, and especially on ebay italy. for example this. I know that they are not made from sennheiser, but I would like to ask if anyone has tested them. I am not a pro Dj, so I would like to give them a try if they are really working so I can have them in my collection

A female vocalist I work with uses one, exclusively now.

(1) At least 200 feet that I can vouch for.

(2) Good question---I don't know. I never heard her get drop-outs or interference with her system. Very clear and powerful signal, HiZ and LoZ output, 4-channels with automatic sidebands, battery lasts a complete gig BUT the mic is not housed in metal (it's plastic).

(3) At least 30 feet that I can vouch for; not much more that 40 feet. We unscrewed the antenna and tried it.

She loves it but she got screwed by the FCC because it's in the "700MHz" range. If you do buy, I think you'll need the "E" variety to be functional and legal in the US.
