Song heaven!

Does anybody here know of a forum or website, where pro tools users can upload there sessions and have other people mix or master there songs. It be kind of cool to practice other genre's and see how other people mix songs or see how people mix your own song and what they created! I think it would be easier to just upload the session folder instead of importing individual waves. I don't know, I just really like mixing and mastering!

I haven't checked it out, but you might want to look at www.lazyslackers.com.

Firstly, lol. But at the same time I think the OP wants to try out mixing other people's stuff, not the other way round.

There are a few people here from time to time who post threads with stuff that they'd like people to have a go at. Just need to keep your eye out. The mp3 mixing clinic is a good place to start. From time to time someone will post up a mix contest there (no prize, just for fun). Everyone gets a shot at mixing the tune and posts the result. There are a few threads that appear outside of the mixing clinic where people want someone to mix something for them.

Beware though, of people who are being paid by someone else to do the job and asking people here to do it for them because their mouth wrote a cheque their ass can't cash. That does happen from time to time.

Yeah, I got that; sorry Louie, that wasn't directed at you, that was directed at those who put their stuff up there.

If that doesn't work, you also might want to try www.deafengineers.net. These people are industrious, they just can't tell the difference between a good mix and a Chex Mix, so they gotta ask others to finish what they should never have started themselves.

Thumbs up

thanks guys for the reply's, I started a thread where I uploaded my PT session where people could take a crack at it if they wanted. Some people get the wrong impression that I'm looking for someone to mix my song. That's not the case, I know how to mix and master my own songs, I just thought it would be cool to see how people mix in real time and show the world how I mix if someone was able to upload one of there songs.
