Custom-print guitar picks?

Is there a reliable source for order guitar picks with custom designs printed on them? I've seen several websites advertising such services, but do not know how reliable those companies are.

Go to your local music store. They can get them, though they may not know it for sure. But you can probably find one who will do it. I get mine from Ernie Ball, who has two different types. The ones I get have a 600 pick minimum, but they also have one with a smaller minimum - I think it's 144, but it might be 250 or something like that. Dunlop will also do it, and so will a couple of other manufacturers (I don't remember all of them), but they are all going to have pretty significant minimum orders - certainly, never less than a gross, and possibly double that. Then again, they aren't that expensive. I pay either the same or less than I pay for Fender imprint picks.

I order mine from www.steveclayton.com A little more pricey than some, but I love what they do.

One of the local stores I contacted recommended this supplier as well. The store used to send custom imprint orders to Steve Clayton until he started selling to consumers directly. Then the store just started referring inquiries directly to SteveClayton.com. Actually, I thought their prices were quite reasonable given that they do not tack on a "set up" fee or whatever the charge is called. The last time I bought picks at a local shop I paid $0.50 each for them. 100 picks at $39.00 works out to $0.39 each.

My wife and I got custom printed picks to give away at our wedding reception. We went with Clayton, too, and I was very impressed. You can get plain lettering or import your own graphics, choose pick material and size, and the minimum order is very low.

Not judging or anything, but that seems kind of long for a guitar pick - I think it might end up awfully small.

Of course I had to do some resizing, but there didn't seem to be any problem when I submitted the design using the designer function/template on their website. I've not had any phone calls or e-mails to indicate a problem either. Guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I was thinking more in an aesthetic way - it could well just become a sort of line down the middle of the pick, at least from any kind of distance at all.

IMO the menorah is a little over the top I think the star of David and the fish represents what you want to express quite well which indicates you are a Messianic Jew and proud of it.

you may also want to check out pick worlds prices too.
here is the picks I get done from pick world

and on the back

Roguetitan,
No, I am not a messianic jew, I am a gentile "grafted in" as the Scripture says. The menorah is part of the grafted in symbol which reputedly dates back to the first century AD according to some sources. Again, I'll have to wait to see what the final image looks like. When it does, I'll do a .jpg to post so any interested parties can see the result.
I did pick up (bad pun is unintentional) a few of the "pick Jesus" picks at a store called "Mardel" [a bookstore chain owned by the same family that owns the Hobby Lobby chain].

You may be right. I did broaden it some to fill out the dimensions when I resized it. But at this point I'll have to wait to receive the order.

I didn't know that about the menorah, cool! but then again there are lots of things I don't know about the Holy scriptures however I feel a lot better not knowing and being a doer of what I do know and not just a hearer. I do know the menorah represents the 7 Churches of Asia Minor according to What our Christ Revealed to John during his stay on Patmos Island.
Well you are adopted by your Hebrew Father God by your faith in the blood bought sacrifice of His only begotten Son and our Brother so that kind of makes you not gentile anymore the scriptures does say once we accept Jesus as our lord and redeemer we become new and obviously you love His Son the Messiah as much as I do so that kinda sorta makes us Messianic Jews
besides we all have a common ancestor whom Father created from the dirt; but Ya, anyway....
ain't Father God AWESOME!

I Cant wait to see the finished picks
when you get them maybe we can trade a couple?
I use a lot of the picks I get by adding them in with the servers tip when we eat out, the picks are a lot cooler than gospel tract's and something they will hold on to instead of getting thrown in the trash can and no the pick's are not part of the 15% gratuity LOL

OH I forgot to mention you can go to the bottom of this page and download the pick templates to get the best fit for your graphic design on the pick.

Great idea about leaving it with a tip for the servers when eating out--as long as one doesn't forget/omit the tip.

I looked at pickworld's website, I may check them out next time since they offer the option of tortoiseshell with gold imprinting. The price may be a little higher that clayton custom with a longer turnaround time, but I'd give them a shot as long as they're reliable and stand behind their work....

Swapping picks sounds like fun. Send me your address through a private message [unless you don't care who reads your address on this thread] and I'll mail you a half-dozen when they come in.

I received my custom-imprinted picks today. I scanned one and attached it. I thought it came out very well. Even at arm's length, with my super-poor eyesight, I can tell what the logo is.

That is VERY cool! Very neat the way the various symbols are integrated with one another. Is that something that you came up with, or is this a common symbol that I've just never seen before now?

My band uses picks printed by SteveClayton.com

I thought they came out exactly how I wanted them, personally. We throw them out at shows and such. Everyone seems to like them.

This is not something I came up with. The .jpg I found on the internet. Some sources claim the symbol was used by the ancient Messianic Jews in Jerusalem with examples dating back to the second century AD. Some archaeologists and historians dispute the claim. Regardless, since it is a reputedly ancient symbol, it is therefore not subject to copyright or trademarking and exists in the public domain.
