TASCAM DP002 CF mastering.

im wondering about mastering what i've recorded on the unit and how i do it,
say i have a few tracks for a song when i master it i have my stereo recording right, and its still the same song when i save it or how does that work.

It should all be in your manual, but I'll give a quick synapsis.

Once you have your EQ, faders, effects, and panning set the way you want them for each channel, then you can enter "Master" mode and mix down all of your tracks to a final stereo track. Once the master is made, you can't change anything in that stereo mix. However, if there is something you want to change, make the change and create a new master stereo mix. Once you are finished with mastering, you can export it and then copy it over to your PC/Mac via the USB cable.

i find the manual kinda vague to some finer specifics but thanks, would that work with a few songs on one track, where i could still use location marks
to go through them on the master?

I haven't tried setting location marks with a master track. Not sure if it's possible or not. It would probably be best to master the individual songs, that way you can tailor the settings better for each song vs. having the same EQ/panning/etc. for all of the songs.
