PLEASE HELP! Multimix 8 firewire w/ Adobe Audition 3

Hello all,

I am very very frustrated. I cannot seem to record properlly on adobe audition 3 with my multimix. I installed the latest drivers and firmware so the mixer itself is fine. However, I am having trouble setting it up with my computer. It is set as the default sound system on my laptop but im confusedd about how to configure it in adobe. When i go to audio hardware setup i cnfigure everything to be to the multimix. However when i arm the tracks and go to record it does nothing. It starts and then immediatly stops. Also when its set to the default soundcard it records fine but skips repeadedly messing up the whole track!! I have no idea what the issue is! Ive gone through every manual and searched but cannot find the answer to what im looking for. Can anybody at all help me? Has anyone gotten the multimix to work for them in AA3? I invested a lot into my equipment and I really need to figure it out! Any help is gladly appreciated!!!

Probably the first thing I'd do is make sure it's not the mixer.

For instance, plug in some headphones to the mixer. Do you hear your signal? If not then it's not AA3. It's the mixer or it's config.

If you hear your signal then, did you install the driver for the mixer?

Under EDIT > AUDIO HARDWARE SETUP are your inputs and outputs selected properly according to your signal?

For me, I have the Audio Driver for multitrack view selected as "Alesis USB Audio Device" with the Default Output [01S] MIC_LINE_IN_1 and the Default Output set to [01S] OUT_LEFT. Then I have the input and output of track 1 set accordingly and I'm plugged into those sources.

That's exactly what I'm using. I can record, but have a couple of mono vs stereo issues I'm figuring out
