Any Alesis MasterControl Users

Hi,

I've been eying the Alesis MasterControl for some time now. Check out http://www.alesis.com/mastercontrol
and it looks very inviting? Any users out there? I also needed to know the quality of Preamps on this unit? Would appreciate any feedback or suggestions by the folks on the forums.

As far as the preamps I haven't used them. But thats subject to change. The specs on the Alesis say the pres are better. But I am in no hurry to find out, My iMac 24inch and Protools 8 have alot to do with it. Heres how it goes. I used the Alesis MasterControls for controlling both ProTools 8 and Cubase 5 for now. Because both DAWs run well through the Mbox 2. If you're familiar with Protools it well not run through the Alesis audiointerface, but Cubase will. I like the way the Alesis MC handles in both DAWs. So far so good. The Alesis MC does help contributes to the workflow. There may be better ones out there but I'm content. And yes the price had alot to do with it. (Under 675.00) Sorry I couldnt be of much help on the preamps but thats where I sit today.

mic is connected to the alesis MC, phantom power on, all drivers installed n up to date, sound/audio devices all set to alesis f/w audio but no sound comin from my mic...i'm lost...any help?
