Could, how & where would this be used?

Hello Folks,
I've posted this link before but had little response.
Please, have a look at the vid from the link & read the "How It Works!" section of the page.
Would this stuff work in a home studio? If yes - as what?
Is this the same as Green Glue I read of in some posts?

http://www.abc.net.au/tv/newinventors/txt/s2423228.htm

It's a product from Australia & the demo/vid is from a national invention program called "The New Inventors". (The original show was i the 70's this is a new century update).

WOW,
This topic was similarly ignored last time I tried. I'm not flogging this stuff - I just want to know if it's worth using.
Is it that it seems to good to be true: that it's a scam I don't know about: that I've crossed the line regarding some secret taboo?

That's pretty much exclusively aimed at the residential market rather than studio - you don't want it to reflect the sound back in to the room, you want to absorb it! (most of the time anyways).

Pretty Interesting stuff.

Based on the information provided, this product appears to absorb and stop sound transmission thus using this in walls, floors and ceilings would be a good start for building a studio.

It's also nice as it is a "green" alternative to oil derivatives.

Yeah, the green alternative makes it interesting and the fact that it doesn't reflect back to any greater degree than plasterboard BUT reduces the sound passing through.
It is aimed - in this vid - at residential but if it can isolate one space from another effectively then it's have uses in a home studio.

Agreed. Plus it's probably way over priced for no reason.
