L Shaped Desk Mod Ideas

What I have is a very standard (but nice) classic L shaped desk. I have bought 4 - 2' x 4' x 1" particleboard panels to add to this baby in an attempt to trick out my very plain computer desk. I have some basic ideas, but want to cover all the bases in case there is something I have overlooked. The most basic idea is to mount my DAW on a tilted platform directly in front of me (sort of like a podium) so I can easily see and reach for what I am doing as opposed to straining my neck to look at buttons and such. I will apply the same idea to my other desktop gear such as my Boss DR770 and POD and other mixer. Other than that, I really dont have any other thoughts. Just want to check and see what works for you guys!

Does anyone have any pics, ideas, or links they would like to share on some ideas? We are dealing with 2 small mixers, one of which is a DAW, drum machine, POD, TR8 monitors, and lots of tech gadgets to take up a bunch of space.
