Hagstrom/Bjarton Guitars

I've been scouring the net for information on my Hagstrom H-33 12 string. The only information I have found is that it was manufactured by Bjärton for Hagstrom (which of course is promenently displayed in the sound hole - so really I'm no further ahead than I was before).

Anyone have any encounters with these ?

I'm hoping the members in Sweden can help - I understand Bjärton guitars were a common "first guitar" for many players.

This link from another thread shows the guitar - it's the one leaning against the amp - kind of poor photo though..

Cheers,

Mike

Holy Cow !
Someone actually replied to this thread.
Thanks, wfaraoni.
I have found lots of other info as well in the last year.
This is probably the best site I found.

But I will check out your info as well.
Cheers,
mike

Hagstrom was a common beginners guitar in the US in the 1960's. Don't see many of them anymore.

Beltrom is on a distinguished road
Don't know if these are helpful - but you migt as well check them out, the first one are in Swedish so you'd have to translate on some engine. The main interesting point on that site was that Hagstom guitars are very easy to date because there's a book with all the serials. It seems the book is still available.
