This is a mic sold by Alctron (Ningbo, China) as the HRM-7B mic and rebranded as a Nady RSM-1 et al. It uses a "long ribbon / short path" motor modeled after the AEA R84.

Interesting mic for $100. I wonder how much better a lundahl or cinemag would make it. Hmmm.

Lots. At least on the RSM-2 (previous generation of the ribbon motor), it make a huge difference in the top end openness.
