given this room

which point would be best for the vocalist to stand at, singing out into the middle of the room?(back against the wall at the point)

None of the above.......

Backed up against a wall is not where you want to place a singer - rather - put them in the middle of the room and play around with how they face (with short recordings) to see how the room sounds.......

What is in the room now for treatments?

Rod

well the room is small (approx 7'x11') with a 9ft ceiling

and I have 8, gik244's (2'x4'x4'' mineral wool panels) that I have been moving around, trying different positions. Right now I have 2, 244's above point A (but actually about 2' off that wall) as a cloud and one behind;(right at pt. A) one left;one right(on their sides) and one straight ahead. and the other two are in corners B and C. All the 244's are at the height of my head(i.e., the center of the 244)

then I have some randomly placed auralex 2'' foam all over the room

here's a drawing:

Hey Rod. He didn't specify the PURPOSE of the room. In a small club, on a small stage, you're FORCED to position the players and mics as shown. I wish I had a dime for every small room and geometrys shown that I've played in. I'd be rich. And some were even worse...like small closets facing the room:rolleyes. Maybe he's trying to determine where to place a stage (I highly doubt it though given this is HR Just thought I'd throw that in for perspective.

the purpose of the room is just tracking vocals.

I might do alittle guitar but I really care about vocals more than anything else
and want everything perfect for vox. This room is all 2x4's and particle board, that I have built inside a storage unit(concrete floors)
