700 board

I went looking for owens corning 703 and it's impossible to find around here.
but the guy at the insulation shop has "700 board", which is rigid fiberglass, but made by a different manufacturer.

can I use that for panels? it also has a paper backing on it what do I do with that?

I'm no expert, but I'm thinking if the density is similiar to 703, it will work just like 703. Looks like it's about 3 pounds per cubic foot.

Ask him who manufactures it and what the density in lbs per cubic foot is.

i bought 2 pieces of this yellow with black facing, semi-rigid stuff.
it is 3lbs/ft3. i think i will get the fully rigid stuff next time. But, the purpose of this is to cover a metal door, that someone was throwing away and I decided to use.

shoul i get 6 inches of this stuff for a metal door?

or should I use rigid for the door. basically is the stuff i have sufficient for a metal door?
