Just got my M Audio Sputnik in the mail today!!!! Questions

Its my first expensive microphone what things should i do to prolong the life of it? And also, keep it from having problems?

It has a power supply. Will it hurt the mic if i accidentally turn on the phantom power on my MOTU traveler?
(Not that i would on purpose but people touch shit you know....)

Anything I should know about having a sputnik?

Congratulations, that's a very nice mic you have there. The only advise I have is to keep it covered when not in use.

Don't drop it.
Dont' smoke around it.
Store it in a climate controlled space.

Aside from that, enjoy it...I really like that mic too. It's a great value.
