Plug Condenser and Dynamic Mics in Mixer w/Phantom Power?

The pieces of equipment in question are:

1. Studio Projects B1 condenser mic
2. Shure 545SD dynamic mic
3. Mackie 1402VLX mixer/preamp (w/phantom power)
4. E-Mu 1616M audio interface (contains 2 mic preamps)

Scenario: I want to record two discrete tracks of vocals simultaneously with a condenser and dynamic mic using the above equipment.

Question: If I plug the SP B1 into the Mackie mixer/preamp, and switch on phantom power for that mic, am I able to simultaneously plug the Shure dynamic mic into the mixer? Or, alternatively, should I plug the Shure mic into the E-Mu interface?

The basic question is of course will engaging phantom power damage the Shure (or a) dynamic microphone?

Thanks.

You can safely use phantom power with a dynamic mic. Just be sure to have the mics plugged in before turning on phantom power.

have fun.
