Alesis oi2 and Cubase 5 any solutions to the problem?

Hello there

I just updated to cubase 5 and my soundcard/USB audio interface Alesis io2 seems to be acting up terribly. I have seen other people have had the same problem with it when useing Cubase 4.

Does anyone have any solutions to this? There is no new driver for it... have looked for that.

Will I have to get a new sound card? I'd love not to have to. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix the erractic behaviour. I never had this when I was using it with cubase SX3.

It is really unstable. Drops in and out when listening back to audio now. And behaves oddly around stereo bus.. again dropping out for ages ... then coming back. plus grinding to a crackling halt all the time

I have 3 gig of ram and loads of memory and very little running in the background.

Any help/guidance would be much apprecited

This problem is not covered in the manual... I have looked.

Does cubase gives you a log of the error?

Is there a update for cubase 5?

It's seems to me, i never use cubase 5 the problem is in your Cubase Software.

What are you using:Vista, Mac, XP or other?

The others users have similiar bug's on wich OS System?
