new here. iPod doesn't work
Hi, folks. Yes, I did a search. Several, in fact.
Hereza deal: - System is a Multimix 8 with an iPod dock. - Usedta work fine. - In prep for a session recently, I did an erase all on the iPod. Unfortunately, it took the record function ("voice memo") with it. - reset the iPod, no love. Called Apple support, reset again, no love. At recommendatoin of Apple support, took it to an Apple store. - They reset again and we tried it with one of those little Belkin stereo plug-in mics. Worked. - Recorded today. It took. Then I tried to download to Audacity and found that the Apple store had set the iPod for a Mac format. Couldn't grab. Re-formatted for Windows (XP, if that matters). - Still couldn't find the record function. - Took it back to Apple. Belkin mic worked fine. - Got home, set it into the Multimix dock - and nothing. That's where I am. Do I have a defective Multimix (bought a month and a half ago) or is there something stupid I'm missing here? FWIW, originally the voice message (recording) function was under "extras" and when the Belkin mic was plugged in voice message showed up under the main menu. Help/guidance appreciated. |
