MIDI device not recording in Pro Tools M-Powered 7.4
I'm assuming this is a Pro Tools problem due to the fact that I'm getting MIDI signal to the computer.
We have a Kurzweil Keyboard hooked up through the M-Audio Profire Lightbridge's MIDI in, and it is getting signal to the computer (we know this because we tested it using MIDI-OX as suggested on the knowledge base on M-audio.com) but when setting up an instrument track in Pro Tools, we follow all the steps to get it ready to record and the keyboard does nothing to trigger MIDI notes to the computer. We have a plugin selected, the correct MIDI input selected, the correct output (as we can hear the notes by pressing the keys on the onscreen keyboard in the Edit Window). It just appears that Pro Tools is not "hearing" the keyboard. Please help. Any assistance would be appreciated. I'm using a PC with Pro Tools M-Powered 7.4 updated and the ProFire Lightbridge with a Roland VS-2480 and a USB to MIDI dongle for I/O to the Roland.
