Question Cleaning a Mixer

I own a Behringer MX2442a and it seems a lot of the faders are now crackly. I have a fair bit of knowledge as far as opening up electronic devices is concerned and have heard that I could get the desk working like new without too much of a problem.

Some have told me to use compressed air and maybe some sort of lubrication to get the faders sounding like new again but i'm not too sure what suppliers are best and would like to know if anyone has recommendations.

The desk was a pretty decent desk (I think they copied it from a Mackie) and I would like to see if I can restore it before going out and buying something new and expensive.

If anyone has any tips, it would be much appreciated!

Easy to clean, a bitch to get open and have easy access to every pot. Here is a link to fader cleaner/lube and pot cleaner/lube.

i wouldn't open it to do this... it's easier and just as effective to do from the outside... and believe me taking the boards out of some of these things is a real drag.... reason being it's large flat boards laid in there... rather than a series of boards laid in verticly... check out the caig cleaners...
