Just purchased these for my basement ceiling...

http://www.audiotecusa.com/acoustic_panels.php

I purchased 32 (24x24x1) of these panels to cover 130 sq feet of ceiling in a 400 sq ft basement recording space. i plan on only tracking underneath the treated area. its a white ceiling and i got all white panels that i plan on checkerboarding.

i suffer from 6 ft 8 inch low drywall ceilings and was hearing it in the vocal and acoustic guitar recordings.

howd i do?

i bought 6 cans of adhesive spray i hope theyre not too much of a pain to attach them to the ceiling. anyone have any experience?

I put up a bunch of panels something like those about 4 years ago or so...with adhesive stuff like that and no problems. My arms got tired holding em up tho.

How are ya set on bass traps?

one of my room has a flush/flat corner and the other corner I might need a bass trap but I'm figuring the low ceilings were the biggest culprit.

how did the tiles work out for you?

Good.

I've got a checkerboard pattern on one wall with T-111 paneling on the other and both halves of my ceiling with a cloud right above my mixing desk.

Bass traps are the key mang...

It's not dead but it is tame.
