For any one who makes their own effects...

I'm having quite the time trying to find a box to stuff the guts of pedal I'm making into. Anyone have any suggestions on what to use/where to buy? I'd rather not use a preexisting gutted stomp box because there isn't a whole lot of fun in that.

I've wondered about the same thing. I thought Radio Shack used to sell little metal boxes for projects, but I don't know how strong they are. I'd certainly be tempted to just make a little plywood box. You might also use one of these things, and just use a plywood cover on the other side. It'd be damn ugly, but probably pretty strong.

Oh, and a preliminary google of "effects pedal enclosure" brought up a few nice-looking things, e.g. this thing.

Hammond 1590B for MXR sized and 1590BB for a little extra room. There are some alternatives too.

Bang on.

Eddystone also make boxes in the same sizes. They are available from Maplin (in the UK)
