Stainless Steel Strings???
Anyone here care to share their personal experiences with stainless steel strings? I know that they're supposed to sound brighter and that they can speed up saddle and fret wear, but I'm curious to hear what real people have to say about them.

they sound decent but they tear the shit out of your frets. I didn't think it would be as bad as I heard when I first tried them but after a few months I relized I was going to have to change strings or get a new fret job very soon. Its all about the DR pure blues now.

Do they still sell those 24 karat gold ones?
they should be pretty easy on the frets... for the cost of 20 fret jobs a year ![]() |
