Interesting song. It's like rap-metal with more metal than usual.
The filter suddenly dropping away on the metal bits is pretty cool. The metal vocals sound a little flat to me. Not very dynamic or engaging. The synth parts are cool. Quote:

This is a song of 2 halves for me. I don't get death metal vocals, just don't see the attraction and guess I probably never will. The rap parts are very cool, I like the selection of different voices and effects. Nice job on the drums too, I think the combination of the ringy snare rim and that kick reverb works real well. Although the drums don't actually sound like Bonham, they remind me of Bonham for some reason

Well done! There is a whole lot goin' on here...subjectively, I too dug the more laid back portions more than the heavier bits, but there is certainly an interesting contrast working here which is not lacking in cohesion or anything, I could just get into a whole tune done around the rap-like arrangement. Nice work!

VomitHatSteve - hey Vomit, thanks for replying.. the Metal vocals were the thing I was happiest with because I only had 1 take in me and that was it, and I wouldn't know how to fix them even if I knew what was wrong.. but I appreciate the thoughts man! the biggest thing I'm unhappy with here is the lack of volume and punch to the whole mix, it doesn't hit nearly as hard as it should.
Bulls Hit - thanks B, good to see you. yea death metal vocals are not for everyone, just like country and western isn't everybody's thing. I see what you mean about the Bonham thing, and that's a good thing. lol.. bunch of new tunes on the way b. heatmiser - that's a great name! thanks a lot of taking the time.. one mans contrast is another mans bipolar disorder. lol

i think this song has plenty of punch. i don't know how much more punch you could achieve. and i gotta say usually i don't like ringing snares but it works pretty well with this song. good call
