Jan Challenge - B4 U were Born - Burt

Here is the link to my recording of last months song.

First go on logic (Yes I finally up graded of GB) and also first monitor mix in a long time - getting rid of Korg HD recorded meat I could reconfigure desktop - not sure mix is as good as headphone ones I normally do - oh well maybe put in mp3 clinic for suggestions.

Hopefully name change clarifies that 3rd vs is to my first daughter and 'sister' is my younger daughter - not my sister-in-law (perish the thought!).

Thank you for listening here

Happy Chinesse new year - Kung Hei Fat Choi

Burt

aaaah . . not the dreaded soundclick!!

For reasons unknon to me, I can rarely get to hear a song in Soundclick. I get the page, with a big fat blank space where the song should appear.

I'll keep trying in case it will magically appear.

Does anyone have any clues as to this mysterious absence of song?

Don't worry . . . I figured it out . . . I had to temporarily enable pop-ups

So I've had a listen ok.

I agree, Gecko. For starters, their freebie account decreases the resolution of songs to 128 kbps.

Box.net (also a freebie site) does not decrease the resolution, but it does limit users to 10mb uploads. I think SoundClick does also. Both are freebies, so I'm not complaining... just observing! Paying subscribers receive higher quality.

I ran my own server for years, but my work days are long, and I barely have time to play around with my music hobby. Someday soon, perhaps.

Cheers,
Joseph

Yes this is a problem, when I joined I couldn't work out why I could never get the player. Some sites/browser class the 'player' as 'pop-up' others as 'new window' - sorry

If you get stuck.....

.....I can host a song while you give people a chance to listen. I had thought of doing it for everyone in the Challenge this time but then some showoffs started making videos! I thought it might be nice for the listeners to have all of the songs for the Challenge on one page and they could toggle through to listen to them back to back. Perhaps next time. Seriously though, I have enough bandwidth to set us on a temp basis for a month or two till the related threads fall of the edge of the earth.
