SR-16 Drum machine

New to this forum.
I have owned this SR-16 for 2 years. I have done some basic preprogrammed tracks and some tapping with Cakewalk. Since then, I have been through some computer hassles. Now, those are better and I am trying to record again. I have hooked up the Alesis again as I remember doing before and nothing seems to be coming out of it. The beat dot is flashing and unit appears to work, but I get nothing on my Toneport UX2 meters(I was using a M-audio Mobile Pre before).
I have cables from the SR-16's main outs to the UX2 inputs, all volume/gain knobs up. The unit is plugged in. Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Bob
