Deoxit is my friend
So I got some deoxit and it fixed a pot thats been bugging my for years. YAY! I do have a question though.... I seems to be under a lot of pressure and goes all over the place when you squirt it. I have been putting it in the holes in the pics. They are the only ones I can see.

I think that high pressure would be helpful. For a particularly nasty pot you're going to want a 'flushing' action as well as a contact cleaner proper.
caig has a nice little messageboard for support. I think this thread might help you out: http://www.caig.com/caigbb/view_topi...=87&forum_id=1 |

Pete! How are ya?
Ken, yes, sometimes I just kind of rock the spray-valve with my finger to try and get a little bit, but when it comes to pots I hold the can with one hand and the straw tip with the other and try to direct as much into the pot through whatever access hole there is. I give it a good healthy squirt, sometimes 2 or 3. Depends. Just have a cloth handy. I'll throw a rag over anything else that I can to minimize overspray and to dab up stuff I didn't catch. Its not a big deal, really. Just wipe up what you can and give everything a chance to dry up before you turn it on...not sure if you even need to do that but I do. |
