112, 112mkII, 122 and 122mkII differences?
They all look so similar...what are the differences between these Tascam cassette decks?

Sweet,
How goes it ? Well I am the original owner of a 112 The 112 is a two head deack vs the 122 is a three head machine. I believe the Mark II, III, whatever were just updates (minor changes). Very good machines. I have had mine for nearly 20 years. Just recently had to replace the pinch roller.Best Regards, Dave |

Dave,
Thanks for the info! Things are good! You? Ohhhhkay...I get it now (2 vs. 3 head). I also notice that the 122 includes balance i/o and it is optional on the 112. The 122 also has those neat-o bias and level trimmers on the front panel... That's pretty neat when you have a piece of gear that can keep trucking for 2 decades with little need huh? ![]() |
