Cubase Conversion

I've got Cubase SX 3 and I've got a question. Whenever I convert anything to midi, it replaces all synths with the piano sound, and I'm not sure why. On top of this, I don't know how to successfully convert my midi into an audio format. What is it I need to do?!

When you say "convert to MIDI" what do you mean? Export a MIDI from cubase? Import a MIDI to cubase?

Also - if you want to convert a MIDI into an 'audio format' (i assume you mean .wav) then just export the cubase project from the file menu (file - export audio mixdown).
