mbox 2 pro

so i would like to hear what everyone thinks of my portable project studio setup. Im fairly new to recording but an experienced musician. Im looking to do solo/ small band recordings. I just ordered the mbox 2 pro with mxl condenser mic. I currently have the last generation macbook(white)2.4 ghz with a gig of ram. sufficient for what i need?

Yeh you'll be fine. You could do with perhaps another mic - if you want more inputs you're going to have to buy another preamps and converter...

i have a windows xp, intel centrino duo, 1.6ghz pc with 2gb of ram, would this machine be powerful enough?

notebooks generally you should replace the hard drive with a 7200 rpm drive, but you should be ok if you are using an external firewire or usb drive.
