I've got one of these, so this is just a plug - I use mine to clock together a MOTU Traveler (modified by BLA), an ART Digital MPA, and an Echo Audiofire 12 - they work together beautifully at 96khz with the clock.

No problem, I'm seriously considering buying one, but was wondering if there is any used for sale in order to save a dime or two. Another reason to ask is if someone don't find it good enough compared other comparable gear, which than could move me in another direction. I already have two motu mk2's and consider modding them with BLA. From what I can see on the web this seems to be a good choice altogether. Do you have any experiences that can be helpful for my choice?

uh.... I'm not a good person to ask about that.

Let me put it this way... I'll never again have a piece of perfectly good working gear sent to be modded.

However, many many people do it, and love the results.

My Traveler was not perfectly working and good when I sent it - the preamps sounded edgy when they were functional, and one of them had flaked out and gone all noisy. When I got it back, all four sound crystal clear and with very little noise. The line ins and outs are less noisy, too. Definitely worth the $ in my case.
